What are the costs involved in getting a water bore drilled?

Individual bore costs are impacted by the location of the site, depth of the bore and any unique geographic considerations. How far in advance should a bore drilling job be booked?

It’s advisable to book as far ahead as possible. Depending on advance bookings already confirmed, shorter booking time frames may be accommodated.

Is there a cancellation fee once a job is booked?

As long as the equipment has not left the depot there will not be a fee, this is usually 48 hours prior to drilling is to start.

What equipment does the customer need to provide?

There is no equipment needed from the customer.

Will Southern Downs Drilling undertake a site visit prior to the job date?

Site visits are available up request. Some jobs will require a site visit prior to the booked date due to site access issues and other requirements.

How long will the job take?

Every hole is different however, Travis and his team will always keep you informed on the progress being made every step of the way. 

Can I pick the site for the new bore?

Yes. It is the customer’s responsibility pick the location of the bore. Customers usually select a site based on local knowledge or the location of other nearby bores. Other customers will engage their own geo-technical experts to undertake site analysis.

What can bore water be used for?

Using bore water is great option for small acreages and farms as it can be used irrigation, livestock and domestic water supplies.
